Rosemarie Navallo-Dimagnaong, Executive Director of Children’s Joy Foundation Inc., took her oath of office at the Grand Men Seng Hotel last November 10 to start her term as the new President of the Area-based Standard Network (Absnet) Region 11.
Holding her new post for next two years, Dimagnaong swore before the Absnet Region 11 members and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Director Priscilla N. Razon.
Razon extended her warmest congratulations to the newly-elected officers as well as to Dimagnaong adding that they were elected based on their leadership and performance in their respective clusters and non-government organizations.
“I’d like to congratulate the new officers and of course the new Absnet Region 111 Federation President Rosemarie Dimagnaong. I’m happy that she’s been selected as the president” Razon said.
Assuring that DSWD will help the new President, Razon acknowledged Dimagnaong’s determination and commitment of accepting the challenge in leading the cluster federation and overseeing the operation of other NGOs.
Meanwhile, DSWD Region 11 Standard Bureau Head Alfred Sy shared that Absnet was created 15 years ago to serve as an arm of DSWD in licensing and accrediting NGOs, adding that it also helps in advocating the policies and guidelines being adapted by DSWD.
Sy also lauded Dimagnaong and the rest of the Absnet Region 11 Federation officers whom he believes will exert the best of their abilities in every task they are given towards a significant contribution to the success of the organization.
